Big Momma and The Mother

My sista, RanD, dragged me to B's again last night. Yeah right, like I put up a fight. Anyhoo... we were there for a couple of beers which of course turned in to most of the night. Miss Niesha Dupree, whom I call Big Momma, is one of my favorite gals that performs a couple of nights a week. I took this picture with my cell phone which would have actually turned out awesome, except that she closed her damn eyes right as I snapped the picture!

So J-bear and I are going to a friends birthday party tonight and then going to bed early. Tomorrow is the car wash fundraiser for the softball team and then after that we are going to the Inman Park festival. Oh, and BTW... I get to meet the mother Saturday... I guess that mean he wants to keep me around. :-)

I'll be spinning this Saturday night as well as next Saturday night after having two weekends free to party. I have a TON of new shit and I can't wait to get back in the booth. And of course I'll be there every Sunday afternoon so drop by and say hello if you like.

Adam & Steve

Boy I have really been slacking in the blog department lately. I haven't had much time on the 'puter for myself. I have been extra busy at work, either training or getting trained! And with all of my friends demanding attention it doesn't leave me much time to write. But that is okay... love my friends!

And speaking of... my friend Z, and J-bear & I went to see the movie Adam & Steve last night. There were some parts that were HILARIOUS! And there were some parts that were kind of slow. But overall, I enjoyed and I think that Z and J-bear did as well. I was happy to see that Parker Posey was in the movie... love her! If you get a chance to go see this movie, I think it is worth it.

On that note, I will try to get on here as much as I can... I keep thinking of things that I was going to blog about and then I end up not doing it.

Happy Friday

It's Fri-day... it's Fri-day! Woo hoo!

It's always so refreshing when the weekend comes. And especially today because the Queen Bitch is out of the office again today! Everyone is so much more relaxed and laid back when she is not here and I actually seem to get more done; even though posting to my blog is a part of that. :-)

So the roomie is out of town this weekend and I'll get to spend some time with my J-Bear. More on that later...

Nursery Rhyme For The Queens

So my sista, RanD, and I went to dinner tonight at King & I, which is conveniently located right across the parking lot from B's. It was a fabulous dinner... Garlic Chicken is to DIE for. Anyhoo... I suggested since we were so close that we should mosey on over to B's after dinner and have a cocktail... or two... or three... So we are at B's looking out the french doors upstairs onto the parking lot... watching the hotties as they came and went. It was raining by now and for some reason this popped into my head:

The queens are out whoring.

Oh Lord... I Gotta Quit Drinking!

Okay, so I know that my J-bear is reading this now. So I have to talk a lot about him. :-) That's fine because I have a lot to say. So I spent the night with him on Sunday. Hmmm... did I mention once before that it is nice to wake up in someones arms again? So Monday was just another day at work. I am still training for my new position. It's getting pretty boring because all I do is set at the desk with Billing lady and watch what she is doing.

However, today, we changed drivers. She sat in my chair at the side of the desk and let me drive. That was a little more interesting. And I stayed awake for most of the morning. But then after lunch, she gave me a whole bunch of work to do and sent me back to my desk. It was a very stressfull afternoon.

So of course I had to make my weekly outing to B's. But first, I had to go take care of my J-bear. He got a little sun on Monday and was too sore to go to work on Tuesday so I took him supper and we watch some TV. Had a good evening. I ended up at B's as usual. My friend RanD came and met me there. We had a few drinks, and then a few more, and more, and more... you get the picture. We were talking with my bartender buddy T and he convinced me I needed to get back on Bear411. So I signed up again tonight. You can find me by searching for AtlCub69. I'll be on soon.

It is now 3:34 am and I am so not ready to go to sleep but if I don't get off this thing and lay down I will never get to sleep! Sorry I have been so pokey lately in posting... What's good about it?

Well, it's good that it is almost 5 o'clock and time for me to go home. But being one of the FEW working at all today, is not good. And the fact that I am probably going to have to sit in traffic forever to get home is also, not good.

It's good that I will be having dinner tonight with J-bear and some of his friends. What's bad is that I went out last night and I am tired as shit! It's going to be a rough night, and I ain't talking about that!

Overwhelmed

Overwhelmed...

That is how I have been feeling so far this week. That is also why I haven't blogged in a while.

I started training for my new position on Monday. I am supposed to be sitting with Billing gal and working with her for half days from here on out and then training my replacement the other half of the day. So obviously I am either not at my desk to be able to blog, or I am but I have someone watching over my shoulder. Well it just so happens they have all gone to lunch right now, which is why I am blogging today. But there is so much that I need to learn in such a short time. I am just finding that Billing gal is not the best trainer... nor am I. Forty plus years of knowledge is kind of hard to teach someone in three months. I'm just trying to absorb as much as I can.

So we went to the new Chili's up the street for dinner last night. Just J-bear and I. When we walked in the door we discovered a table full of queens, most of them J knew from softball. So they invited us to sit and eat with them. I was a little leary at first, but had a great time. It just so happened that they had American Idol on the TV so we all sat and watched and discussed the performances. Chris and Katharine were of course subjects of hot discussion, one of which went as follows:

Queen #1: Chris is HOT!
Me: Yes, but he is married.
J: That doesn't mean anything... lots of fags have been married first.
Me: Yes, but he has a child.
Queen #2: ADOPTED! For all we know he's never put his thing up in there!
Me: OH! Yeah, Chris is HOT!

The Freedom of Wireless

So I've been contemplaing getting a laptop since I started back to school last year. I never thought I would want one but sitting in front of the computer doing homework is kind of boring. So I have really been thinking hard about getting one but they're pretty expensive on my budget.

So my friend tells me the other day that he has a used laptop that he would sell me. I was pretty excited about that and of course I bought it. So now I am sitting here on the couch watching Prison Break and surfing the internet. :-) It's great! And the other night I went to bed and watched episode 4 of Knots Landing. Love it! I don't know why I waited so long to get one. And I almost can't wait to start classes again now because I can sit outside and do my homework.

Wait... did I say I can't wait to start classes again? Jeesh... I'm more tired that I thought!

Work and Play

Well, it’s our month end here at work. In the next few days I will start training for my new position. My supervisor and I have been discussing the fact that our boss wants to hire a temp to take my place. I just laugh. I’m wondering if I am going to be training (whoever) for my position because if (whoever) is a temp, I hope they don’t change their mind and quit on us.

Anyhoo… J comes home today. He just called me from the airport and said he was on the plane and will be home this afternoon. Yay! Guess I know where I'm going tonight.

I just realized it is the 4th day of the month and I haven’t updated my Web site yet. I have a TON of new music, thanks to Promo Only and DJ John Schultz. I need to get my Top 10 updated. Love the new dance mix of the theme from Brokeback Mountain. Also I finally got the Chris Cox Club Mix of Rihanna’s SOS. I could pretty much play CC mixes for most the night. He’s on a roll lately. Another honorable mention would be the revival of the old Heart song by Kim Sozzi, Alone. The mix I’ve heard is too fast to play at the bar, but I like it anyway.
