Bored Blogging... and Guess What I Did Last Night?

It seems for some reason that a lot of the blogs that I read every day, whether for a good laugh or a good cry, or just to hear how the weather is in some other part of the country, are beginning to get very POLITICAL! I have no interest in politics and I never have. I know, I know, I should be more "involved" in the the decisions that are made regarding my personal freedoms. But I just get bored.

And with gay marriage on the chopping block I am just getting sick of hearing about it. I wish there was something I could do about it, but what? FAF makes a good point... we should get out now while we can and aim for more important matters; things that will eventually lead up to our right to marriage, whatever you want to call it.

Now, politics aside, I move on.

So, there is this cute little latino boy that works at Taco Cabanna that I have been making googlie-eyes at for some time. Of course it is always around 3am after I have been drinking all night. But regardless of my condition, I still think he is a cutie. So I'm at Woof's the other day with some friends and guess who shows up? Yes, my Taco Cabanna boy. He gives me a hug, which kind of shocked me because I could never tell if he was interested... or even gay to begin with. Well, we were on our way out so I didn't get a chance to talk with him; although it seemed that there would have been a language barrier anyway.

So my friend RanD and I were talking about him the other day because I saw him again and he lit up and grinned from ear to ear as soon as he saw me. RanD suggested I learn a little Spanish and get to know him. Didn't really think that much more about it. Well last night I am at B's talking to the bartender, Dave (who just happened to be DJing---but that's another story), and someone came up behind me and grabbed me around the waist and gave me a big squeeze. It was my Taco Cabanna boy! I found out something last night that REALLY threw me... it's not Spanish that I need to learn but rather ASL (that's American Sign Language)! Yes, he's deaf... and he's HOT for me. How do I know that? Because he couldn't keep his hands off of me!

And damned if I couldn't find my book on ASL when I got home last night! I need to brush up!

Hats On!

I have officially declared today as a "Hat Day." Not for any particular reason, other than I stumbled across this picture taken at Burkhart's Pub earlier this year at the Easter Drag Races. Everyone should have a work of art like these in their closet. So today, dig into that closet and find your work of art and place that work of art cleverly atop your head and wear it proud! Today is a Hat Day! Tell all your friends!

New Toy

I had an idea the other day about taking my laptop to work with me at B's and recording while I was spinning and then making a CD. Since I can't seem to find the time to record a new one while I'm at home, I thought that this would be the perfect way to do it. Well, it turned out that the sound card in my laptop is not the best quality and I could not get a CD quality recording.

So I was talking to my Tucker friend who suggested I look into an external sound card that is either USB or fits in the PCM slot, and he gave me a few suggestions. I found one on Buy.com pretty cheap with a nice rebate so I went ahead and ordered it. Well, it came in the mail yesterday! So when I got home from work I played with that all night. It works PERFECTLY so I am going to try doing a new CD this Saturday. If things work out as I hope, I should be able to put out two CD's a month pretty easily.

So those of you who are reading this, be prepared for new CD's soon!

WOW! What A Week!

This week has FLOWN by! But not that I'm complaining. I just wish it was payday weekend. Oh well... I have been spending so much time at the pool anyway I shouldn't be worried about spending money. But for some reason, I still manage to squander it away somehow. It's probably all of the Rum & Diets! (NO! You think?)

So anyway... speaking of the pool. Today will be day 5 in a row. It has just been so relaxing after a stressful days work! And since I have been spending so much time at the pool, I decided to drop down to the bare minimum on my cable service. I just can't see spending $130 a month and only watching the Weather Channel in the mornings while getting ready for work, Hell's Kitchen on Monday nights, and Will & Grace/Sex And The City while trying to fall asleep. Yup... sounds kind of boring, but there is nothing else on worth watching. Besides... TV rots your brain (so I'm told!)

So to all of my blog followers, TGIF! Have a good one! (Oh, and Zach, if you're reading this, good luck with the new work crush... you deserve it!)

Hugs!

Just found this video... kind of reminds me of my first night on "the meds" and the crazy dream I had! Enjoy!

Okay, Don't Have A Heart Attack!

Yes, it's me. I'm still alive. Wow, what an incredibly busy month I am having. This new position at work has got my time filled from the minute I sit down at my desk at 8am until the minute I get up to leave at 5pm! I shouldn't be writing now but I figured since my boss isn't here yet, I could spare a few minutes.

I have been spending a lot of time at the pool so far this summer, as I am sure I have mentioned in the past. I was just thinking this weekend that I should just shut the cable off for the summer... it might help with the bills a bit, plus I'm not watching much TV lately anyway because there is nothing good on.

Other than the pool thing and work, not much going on. I spent a little over a week fighting off a rash that broke out from the neck down. It is gone now and I hope it does not come back. The Dr. says if it does I'll have to change my meds... and they are working very well so I hate to do that. But we'll see...

So my friends just got back from a nice vacation in the Bahamas... bitches. They got some really good pictures and had a great time. They got back just in time for Savannah to make an appearance, which is happening quite often now that she has become a Tuckerette. I saw my first show last night and was a little disappointed in the turnout. But the show was amusing and fun nonetheless and it was nice to see a different group of people for a change.

Well, I can't think of much else to rattle on about so I guess I'll shut up now. Have a great week and hopefully I won't take so long to blog again and give everyone a heart attack when I finally do!

Bad Blogger, Bad!

Well... here it is one week and a day since my last blog. I think that is a record. Shame on me! I guess I have just been so busy at work now with the new job and all that I haven't even thought about blogging. I need to start doing it at night when I get home from work. That might work better, huh?

So what has been going on? Well, lots of swimming. A LOT of swimming, actually. Before this summer we had lived in our complex 4 years and I had only been to the pool maybe three times. So far this summer I have been probably six times, not to mention the two at my friends place and the one pool party. So, yeah... a LOT of swimming.

Other than that, working... my ASS off!

I have a lot of new music all of a sudden. One that I will mention off the top of my head is the new song by Rihanna, Unfaithful. Also, an honorable mention goes to Henri for When You Walk Away. I really should be making a new CD soon. My friend RanD has been bugging the shit out of me for one (Love ya sista!).

So happy Friday to all! I'm off this weekend so don't come to B's expecting to hear me. I'll most likely be at the Eagle this weekend to hear my favorite DJ, Coqui... Woof!
